From Our Oven, Every Morning
Sourdough, ciabatta, focaccia, croissants, and seasonal specialty loaves — all baked from scratch before 6 a.m. We also make cakes, pastries, and flatbreads for orders and walk-ins.
We are a neighborhood bakery and grocery on Madison Street — where the oven starts before sunrise and every shelf is filled by hand, every single day.
Passaic Cave started as a local response to the gap in our neighborhood — places that sold food without making it, and shelves stocked without thought. We chose the opposite path. Every loaf is mixed, shaped, and baked on-site. Every grocery item is selected because we would stock it in our own home. That is not a marketing line. It is the standard we hold ourselves to, every morning, before the first customer walks in.

Daily essentials, pantry staples, fresh produce, dairy, and household goods — curated so you can grab what you need without digging through rows of things you do not.
That is why our bakery produces in small batches. That is why we rotate our grocery selection based on what is actually good, not just what is cheap to move. It is slower. It is more work. But it is the only way we know how to run a store in a neighborhood we call home.
